Afghanistan: The London Conference

The United Kingdom, the United Nations and the Afghan Government hosted an International Conference on Afghanistan. The conference was held at Lancaster House in London, where members of the international community discussed the future of Afghanistan. This historic event brought together foreign ministers and senior representatives from more than 70 countries and international organisations.

The project was managed by Paul Gietzen of Identity. Paul oversaw the full branding of the Royal Palace of Lancaster House and the Garden aspect of this conference.

The front of Lancaster House was branded, a complete registration area setup, a full and highly complex plenary meeting area in the Long Gallery, which included installing a full false floor to enable hard wire communication to individually constructed desks, a family photo backdrop and the dressing of numerous rooms within Lancaster House for bi-lateral meetings.

In addition to the dressing of Lancaster House, Identity provided the construction of a full hospitality structure in the gardens and in Green Park for 500 media personnel with full internal dressing, office space to house security and secretarial staff, together with a full press set and television studios with backdrops.
