The 1 Millionth Pet day

Identity have played a significant part in developing Eurotunnel's pet foccused services over the last few years, with projects involving design, branding and the supply of promotional items too.

As the success of the Eurotunnel Pet service has continued, it soon became apparent that it wasnt going to be long before the 1 millionth pet was passing through the Eurotunnel facility and plans were set in place to celebrate the big day.

Identity were delighted to help with various aspects of the organisation of the day, bringing together a variety of activities

To make the day special, there was an agility course set up and one of the countries leading teams came along with their dogs to demonstrate their skills, talk to the passengers passing through and have some fun with their dogs.

Since opening in 1994, Eurotunnel has been a vital transport link between the UK and mainland Europe. The drive on train service has been a fantastic success and when in 2000 the regulations allowed pets to travel to and from France, the service has become the single most used method of moving animals in and out of the UK.

Identity and Eurotunnel have worked tirelessly together to make it more convenient to travel with a pet, with dedicated car parking spaces for owners, a shelter in the pet exercise area and even dedicated area for dogs in season.

A number of class winning dogs were brought to the terminal to take part in the special dog show too and these were very much the "stars of the show"!
